I'm a fan of Robert Pattinson but not a CRAZY FAN that is. I admire the fact that he's playing Edward Cullen, I think the role suits him really well. One of the twits from the Perspective Non-Edward fan is asking "Why Edward?". To be honest as I replied to the twits I'm also not sure WHY??? but I do have some ideas.
1/The fact that he's very gentleman, respectful of women and with oh soo soothing voice. I think that's a winning points on women all over the world. Let's face it how many men can you find having those same traits that he has??? Exactly!
2/He may be skinny not really the "hot bod" guys that we see on movies with muscles and good abs. But I don't hear anyone complaining. Don't think you need to be a muscle bound male or Adonis type person for people to like you. He's got the charm and the sex appeal even without those traits.
3/He's a quiet-shy type of person that's why he doesn't say that much. You have to remember he's all new to this new found fame, so you can expect him to be awkward all the time. If he cannot hold a decent interview that's part of it not comfortable being interviewed(shy right?) But when he act he's giving his very best to be in character to satisfy his directors. I cannot say that he's a very very good actor but hey the guy can act.
4/ Can the guy sing? He can compose and play the piano. Hmmmm... I think he should stick with acting to be honest. He's got the voice but I think his genre or the type of music he wants to sing does not suit him at all. This is my opinion only, everyone's got their own. Now his friend Sam Bradley, definitely got a good singing voice.
5/According to women all over the world, he's DREAMY. In my opinion HE IS DREAMY, because he's the dashing and debonair Edward Cullen. But I'm also wondering what will happen after this whole crazy thing is over? If he plays his card wise he'll be here for the long haul, if not then.... I don't really know.
You are so right in your blog that Robert/Edward "
is not your ideal pick for anything except for the respect he offers. He isn't the new Achilles-instead he is the new dream. The dream that makes women faint at the thought of having a man that actually respects them, puts them first, and is gentle in the way he walks beside her through life." But is that what all women want in the first place, be respected and treated well by their man? If your guy is like Edward/Robert I'm pretty sure you'll be thinking of him as DREAMY as well right?
