I know some (should I say ALL) of you will not like this article. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to get hate reaction in writing this. But this is my OPINION and I really don't care how people will react to this. Especially Robert Pattinson's and Twilight fanatics. I will say what I think about the New Moon trailer and will explain to you WHY. People, don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE fan of Twilight and Robert Pattinson, huge fan. I watched the trailer over and over again in youtube. I'm a type of person that will clap my hands if I think the movie trailer is a real show stopper, even my kids thinks I'm weird doing it. But I tried really tried to get that overwhelming feeling and sad to say I didn't even flick a finger. I did that when I saw the trailer for Twilight, really clapped my hands with gusto and said "WOW". But New Moon - the words that came out of my mouth was "What the?". So here it is...
1/ Kristen asked Robert to kiss him. REACTION: Well the scene is alright except Bella's reaction while saying "kiss me" she looks like she's not only flirting but drooling over Edward. Edward's reaction well he's cold alright which is a good thing. I thought the scene will be better executed without Kristen's eyebrows arching like that, makes her look like a slutty girl instead of a simple girl which the book describes. Remember Bella was supposed to be simple, shy and weird at the same time. After all that's what Edward Cullen liked about her right?
2/ Birthday scene - this is where Bella got a paper cut. Though the scene is very simple it doesn't mean Bella's reaction to be stone cold!!! Well actually even Edward had no reaction whatsoever, he's just standing there, c'mon!. She did say Ow! then "papercut" like it's the worst thing happened to her. What would you think of this scenario instead: Bella got paper cut she says "Ow" Edward or Alice reacted, concern came to her rescue and ask "are you okay?" then she said "yeah just a paper cut, it's nothing". Alice will say "l'll go and get something for it" she's out of the scene. The blood drop, then Jasper attack. Tell me would you react to a papercut like that? Hell no! you would probably swearing your head off right? Her reaction to the paper cut scene was very dull, very dry. I like the part where Edward slammed Bella on the floor though, that really got me, lol!
3/ Still with the papercut scene, you can see Emmett and Rosalie reacted when Edward was slamming Jasper. They both turn their heads a bit. But if you watch carefully, notice that when they are showing the scene where Jasper actually flying across the room. They are both just standing there no reaction at all, duh! Should it be better if they turn their heads a bit looking at Jasper flying across the room, shock look on their face. Problem is they didn't do the scene properly hence if your not observant you will surely miss it.
4/ Still on the birthday scene, I think Edward's reaction after he slam Jasper was a bit dry. Should he be concern, ran to Bella's aid who is bleeding on the floor by the way (wondering why she didn't even have a reaction to this as well). Bella's reaction nothing unusual though you can see blood coming out of her arms. If you were Bella should you be looking hurt and shock? Again very dull and dry scene for me. Though they are showing Edward's good looking pose but aside from that absolutely nothing.
5/The forest scene - okay this scene where Edward is saying goodbye to Bella. If you were in Bella's place and Edward say goodbye to you. Would you be crying your heart out? Tears should be streaming down your cheek right while he's saying "this is the last time you're going to see me". Again, Bella's reaction nothing unusual, very dull. This scene should be a little more dramatic than that. Even the part where according to the book Bella collapsed and crying on the forest floor. All I can see is Kristen with her eyes closed just lying on the forest floor. No crying no nothing, "what the?".
6/ Last scene - forest scene with Laurent. I have to say Edi Gathegi's performance is much better than Bella. If you're in the presence of a vampire and he said to you that you look absolutely mouthwatering. Should your reaction be really scared and panicky. On that scene Bella's reaction was still nothing unusual. Like she's confused on why she's there in the first place. The wolf transformation is okay but not great, it's looks animated which I can understand since you cannot make a real dog to control a scene like that. I didn't see the rest of the wolf pack in that scene only Jacob. And what's a house doing in there in the first place? According to the book Bella is supposed to be in the forest and that's where the wolves going to chase and kill Laurent. Remember Bella doesn't know that Jacob is a wolf right? So another "what the" reaction from me.
Just to clarify, I don't hate Kristen Stewart. I think she's beautiful, but I hate her acting skills. I think she should take acting lessons if she wants to be recognised and be categorised as a great actress(she should take lessons from Dakota Fanning lol!). As for Robert Pattinson (uh oh!) I'm wondering what happened to his Little Ashes acting skills. I saw the trailer for Little Ashes and he's actually brilliant on that movie. What's going on? Where's the salvador dali in you Robert?
All I can see from this trailer - a lot of flirting and posing. I know, I know I have to watch the whole movie before saying anything but hey! I'm only reacting to what I can see hope people can understand. Peace!
Rob Pattinson has recently been voted by OK Magazine as no. 1 Most Eligible Bachelor of the Year! That's great news for all his fans (and me!). I just wish Robert will always stay the same person as he is right now, I'm pretty sure he will. That's one of his traits after all being a Taurus guy.
